The Numurkah Music Hub provides musical experiences which encourage groups and individuals to play, learn and strive.
Music Therapy is an evidenced-based allied health profession which aims to support people of all ages and abilities to improve their health, functioning and well-being. Involvement in Music Therapy can also improve social and communication skills.

In association with the Numurkah Community Learning Centre, Numurkah Music Hub offers weekly group music lessons for upper primary aged children.
Who: Students in Grades 3-6
When: Wednesday 4-5pm during school terms
Where: Numurkah Community Learning Centre: 99 Melville St. Numurkah 3636
Cost: $15 per session, per student

Although the definition of a 'Drum Circle' can vary, at Numurkah Music Hub a Drum Circle is a collection of people playing hand drums (and other percussion instruments) as a group with an aim to create music together through playing and listening. Neither drumming experience nor musical knowledge is required to participate in a Drum Circle.
...and it's REALLY good fun!

Drumming is an accessible and inclusive form of music making which boasts potential positive outcomes including improved cognitive function, social interaction and non verbal communication, opportunities for mindfulness and emotional relief.
